Product description
Hose clamps DIN 3017 secure hose assemblies onto hose barbs and hose nipples. The worm drive engaged with the band shortens the band length when tightened. This presses onto the elastic hose material to maintain a tight connection and prevent the clamp from slipping. The hose clamps have a large clamping range.
The pull-off force and leak-tightness of the connection depend significantly on the nature of the hose and the geometry of the nipple and are enhanced by correct assembly. The actual clamping diameter should be close to the maximum nominal diameter of the hose clamp so that the band overhang stays small.
The recommended tightening torque refers to the hose clamp. Depending on the hose material, the hose clamp should be tightened only far enough to avoid damaging the hose.
