Product description

Lifting points GN 589 are intended for suspending lifting gear and lashing elements and are characterized by a particularly low profile. They are welded e.g. to load attachment points or directly onto the load itself and can absorb loads in any direction.

The nominal load capacity specified in the table is clearly marked on the lifting point. It applies to the least favorable load case of the listed load types.

Lifting points GN 589 comply with Machinery Directive 2006 / 42 / EG and DGUV rules GS-HM-36.

Lifting points are suitable for both lifting and lashing applications. Switching between the two types of use is permitted without restrictions as long as the permissible carrying capacity (WLL) is not exceeded during lashing. If lifting points are used exclusively as lashing points, they can be loaded beyond the permissible carrying capacity up to the maximum lashing capacity (LC).

The specified load values apply to an operating temperature range of –40 °C to +200 °C.

The wear limit or end of service life of the lifting point is easily and reliably discernible based on raised or recessed wear markings. If these are no longer at a different level than the surface due to wear, the service life of the lifting point has been reached.
