Product description

Load hooks GN 5862 rotate running in ball bearings. The freely rotating hook allows the bolts to hold loads in any allowed tensile direction.

The rated load carrying capacity listed in the table is shown clearly on bearing case. It applies to the most unfavourable load application of the load types listed opposite.

Load hooks GN 5862 comply with Mechanical Engineering Directive 2006 / 42 / EG DGUV rules GS-HM-36.

The integrated RFID transponder clearly marks and identifies the sling and lifting gear, e.g. during the prescribed regular inspection.

Load hooks are suitable for both lifting and lashing applications. Switching between the two types of use is permitted without restrictions as long as the permissible carrying capacity (WLL) is not exceeded during lashing. If load hooks are used exclusively as lashing points, they can be loaded beyond the permissible carrying capacity up to the maximum lashing capacity (LC).

The specified load values apply to an operating temperature range of –40 °C to +200 °C.

For one-off lifting operations, it is sufficient to screw in the load hooks by hand without tools. For more complex lifting and turning operations or if they will remain attached to the load for a prolonged period, the load hooks must be tightened with the specified tightening torque.

For cast iron, steel or stainless steel with a tensile strength of 340 N/mm2 or higher, the minimum screw-in depth is 1.5 times d1.
