Latches without Clamping Function

Cam latches, often called quarter-turn latches, hold doors and covers closed with a 90° turn of the operating element, which positions a latch arm behind the frame. Angled edges on the latch arm make the latching easier. Depending on the requirements, various types of cam latches and quarter-turn latches are available. Cam Latches

A cam latch is a simple mechanism for reliably holding a door closed. Doors in industrial enclosures are generally fastened on one side with one or more hinges, allowing the door to swing open, and have a latching mechanism in the door frame on the other side. This simple type of latch is called a cam latch or quarter-turn latch.
