Product description

Lifting eye nuts GN 583 are mounted in rotating bearings, allowing the direction of the force action to be adjusted and preventing inadvertent loosening or overturning.

Lifting eye nuts GN 583 offer a high load carrying capacity and they are tested to meet safety standards (safety factor 4).

The rated load carrying capacity listed in the above table is clearly marked on the ring. It applies to the most unfavourable load application of the load types listed opposite.

Lifting eye nuts GN 583 comply with Mechanical Engineering Directive 2006 / 42 / EG and DGUV rules GS-HM-36.

The integrated RFID transponder clearly marks and identifies the lifting point, e.g. during the prescribed regular inspection.

The hexagon socket nut cannot be removed from the ring.

Rotating lifting eye nuts are suitable for both lifting and lashing applications. Switching between the two types of use is permitted without restrictions as long as the permissible carrying capacity (WLL) is not exceeded during lashing. If rotating lifting eye nuts are used exclusively as lashing points, they can be loaded beyond the permissible carrying capacity up to the maximum lashing capacity (LC).

The specified load values apply to an operating temperature range of –40 °C to +100 °C.

Tightening hand-tight is sufficient for one-off transports. For turning operations or if they will remain in place for a prolonged period, the rotating lifting eye nuts must be tightened with the corresponding tightening torque.

The mounting thread must have property class 8.8 or higher and must be completely screwed into the thread of the nut.
