Product Family Stainless Steel Quality Class 1
The Ganter product range includes a large number of standard parts made of high-quality, non-rusting stainless steels. Thanks to their outstanding material properties, these are used in a wide array of industries. Their corrosion and rust resistance in particular contributes to the value stability and longevity of machines and equipment.
For easier differentiation, the stainless steels used by Ganter are divided into stainless steel quality classes:

Product description
Spring plungers GN 614.8 are used for locking as well as for pressure and hold-off functions.
The ball is mounted in a plastic shell so as to be freely movable, which enables rolling and therefor generally optimizes the locking characteristics. Above all, this reduces wear on the counter piece.
A further characteristic of these plungers is that the plastic bearing acts as an electrical insulator.
A simple mounting hole is sufficient for mounting. The spring plungers are inserted into this hole and additionally secured with adhesive, if necessary.
