Threaded plugs GN 738 attract iron particles which might be suspended in the liquid.
To avoid breakage or de-magnetising, round rod magnets are fitted with a plastic distance and protection tube. This latter tube has to be removed prior to installing the the threaded plug.
The seal is embedded in a radial recess, and thus cannot be lost or squeezed out during tightening.
The outer diameter d1 of threaded plugs is matched to screw-in holes for pipe fittings according to DIN 3852.
