Prismatic oil sight glasses GN 541.3 are practically indestructible. Therefore, they are designed to be relatively thin.
These oil sight glasses use the so-called prismatic effect of a „cat’s eye“ to give a clear and unmistakable oil level reading irrespective of oil color or viscosity. The advantage of these effects becomes obvious in case of a total underfilling or overfilling and monitoring the situation under unfavourable conditions.
Prismatic oil sight glasses GN 541.3 can also be used in tanks which are pressurised. Test results are available.
For mounting on walls of less than 4 mm thickness please use mounting nuts GN 7430.
