Product description

Rotating load rings GN 586.2 are used with separate lifting gear and lashing equipment.

The integrated spring mechanism ensures that the load ring rotates in a load-friendly direction during lifting and lashing, preventing unfavorable lateral loads.

They are screwed onto load-bearing equipment or directly onto the load and can then absorb loads in any direction.

The nominal load capacity is indicated on the case. Rotating load rings GN 586.2 comply with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and DGUV rules GS-HM-36.

The integrated RFID transponder clearly marks and identifies the lifting gear, e.g. during the prescribed regular inspection.

Rotating load rings are suitable for both lifting and lashing applications. Switching between the two types of use is permitted without restrictions as long as the permissible carrying capacity (WLL) is not exceeded during lashing. If rotating load rings are used exclusively as lashing points, they can be loaded beyond the permissible carrying capacity up to the maximum lashing capacity (LC).

The specified load values apply to an operating temperature range of –40 °C to +100 °C.

For one-off lifting operations, it is sufficient to screw in the rotating load rings by hand without tools. For more complex lifting and turning operations or if they will remain attached to the load for a prolonged period, the rotating load rings must be tightened with the specified tightening torque.

For cast iron, steel or stainless steel with a tensile strength of 340 N/mm2 or higher, the minimum screw-in depth is 1.5 times d1.
